BROOMFIELD, Colo., March 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hiball Energy, the pioneer of sparkling energy water and organic energy drinks, is set to launch four of its most popular sparkling energy water flavors and two flavors of its organic energy drinks including a new Ginger Ale Flavor in Ball Corporation's conveniently sized 8.4oz. aluminum cans today at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif.
"There are three main reasons for us to expand into the smaller 8.4oz. can," said Todd Berardi, founder and president of Hiball Energy. "Consumer demand is our primary driver. Many of our female consumers asked us for a smaller size for a variety of reasons, including being easier to carry, wanting less to consume in a single sitting and being able to fit Hiball in a purse without adding too much weight and space. We also received many requests from our on-premise food and corporate campus accounts for a smaller can that their on-the-go patrons could take with them at a lower price point. Lastly, the smaller cans also allow for more flexible single-serve and multi-serve four-pack display opportunities at key retailers."
Similar to Hiball's 16oz. offerings, the new 8.4oz. cans aim to enhance consumers' experiences further by using Ball's "cold activation" technology. A pattern of sparkling dots on the can turn from white to blue when the cans reach a temperature of 45 degrees F (8 degrees C), indicating that the beverage inside is at an optimal drinking temperature.
"Beverage brand owners continue to offer more specialty sizes and shapes of aluminum cans and bottles to meet consumer demand for the right product in the right package for the right occasion," said Bruce Doelling, vice president, sales for Ball's North American metal beverage business. "The functional benefits of the can, including its abilities to chill faster, retain carbonation and provide fantastic portability, are matched by its 100-percent infinite recyclability, making it the most sustainable package for sparkling energy water and organic energy drinks."
Hiball will be showcasing its new 8.4oz. cans today through Sunday at the Anaheim Convention Center. Show attendees are invited to stop by and check out the new lineup at booth #4810.
